Title: Red Pirate Top [Made for Halloween 2005]
Pattern Used: McCall's 4256, no real alterations by me
Notes: So far this has been worn for Halloween and a wonderfully awesome pirate themed party. Did I mention it was awesome?
I spent several weeks working on this in University much to the bemusement of my apartmentmates. It eats a lot more fabric than you might think -- there is a lot of elastic and gathering in this top. The necklace I made up the night before the pirate party because I needed something appropriately piratey and sexy. It seems to have worked! Took a lot of staring at the materials before it came together though, but pretty good for 5 fake coins and some ribbon.
( There were also a lot of blade type things at the party, I 'borrowed' this one for a while at the party :3 )
